Chocolate Covered Oreo Truffles

Absolute crowd pleaser, if my recent trip Up North is anything to go by:

1 package of Oreo cookies (about 165g/5.4oz)
About 2.4oz cream cheese, but this is a bit of a guesstimate
Melted chocolate to cover.

This is possibly the easiest thing ever. Just blitz a packet of Oreos, yummy soft centres and all, in a food processor until you have what looks like black crumbly sand.

Mix all this crumbly stuff with the cream cheese, bit by bit - it'll start off looking like grey cement, but mix it all in until it clumps together and you can roll it into balls.

Then you roll it all into balls, whatever size you like, and refrigerate these baby truffles for a bit, until they're slightly more solid.

Dip the little darlings in chocolate, leave to set on baking parchment and you're done!

I, of course, tend to go over the top and dust them with gold powder, but that's really unnecessary, they're gorgeous as they are. This one packet mix makes a sensible amount of truffles, but that's never really enough, so do two!
