Hello September. I'm relatively happy to wave August goodbye, with its unseasonal thunderstorms and floods, in order to welcome in the start to one of my favourite times of the year. Autumn, second only to Christmas [which is a November - January affair for me].
September is the ideal time for making New-School-Year Resolutions. As in, this year I will make notes throughout term time and not just in the week before exams. This year I will make the most of my weekends and go off on casual jaunts. This year I will complete all assignments well before the deadline. I will not do any of this but the pleasure of a good resolution is similar to a good list.
So, September resolutions: chilly walks with dogs, mittens on strings, flasks of alcoholic hot chocolate, natural history museums, lazy Sunday mornings with newspapers and coffee, risottos and stews and potatoes.
What are your resolutions?
To take more pictures so I never forget, to do instead of plan, and oh yeah to achieve greatness..
ReplyDeleteMy resolutions are in the line of your ones, and also to exercice and eat healthy in order to accomplish the school-resolutions. Also, I'm taking my driving licence in France, in french, on french roas -I'm norwegian... Love your blog! <3
ReplyDeleteYour resolutions are wonderful! Hmmm . . . September resolutions? Summer will continue in Florida, so no chilly walks with dogs for me. Instead, I will try all the frozen yogurt flavors and toppings at my favorite fray shoppe. I love the fall, too. I can hardly wait for it to begin to cool off here and to begin decorating for the season! I enjoy your blog. =)
ReplyDeleteThose are some pretty cozy resolutions! When I hear that word I think "chores" immediately. Not a bad idea though, planning ahead! I'm gonna see what I'm in for first.
ReplyDeleteIt's very odd, we have the same new school resolutions haha
ReplyDeletei really like this blog :-)
ReplyDeleteOOH! Your post gets me all in the mood for Fall. It's my favorite time of year....mainly because of the fall fashions. I can't wait until I have to wear boots and hoodies and cute jackets and thermals. Maybe that will be my resolution: to have a kick ass Fall wardrobe.

All brilliant resolutions! Shohshi - I'm going to take inspiration from you and add making my own icecream to the list - perfect accompaniment to crumbles and pies.
ReplyDeleteMehguhn - I am so with you on the kick ass Fall wardrobe - I can't wait to bring out all my fur capes and hats and handwarmers - ridiculously cosy and makes me feel like Sara Crewe from The Little Princess!
My resolutions: watch Christmas cartoons on netflix until February, alcoholic hot chocolate sounds awesome! Lovely ;)

Ha, no they don't - my photos are generally just a random selection of what I've been up to recently, I'll start captioning them so they make a bit more sense.

bundling up with The Hobbit to read it for the millionth time, putting all the money that I invested into tank tops and shorts in the summer to big comfy coats, become a better photographer, and explore new interests
